Job Description
As a Strategic Analytics Advisor, you are responsible for driving clinical intelligence that helps shape our organization and directly impacts the clinical offerings we provide across the country. You will have a rare chance to create and be part of a world-class intelligence team in the LTC space. You will partner with leaders throughout the organization, including our clients, as the analysis and programs you develop will help to truly shape this industry and benefit the individuals for whom we are entrusted to care. This is a high visibility position and a tremendous opportunity.

You will work initially across multiple, disparate data sources for your analysis, with a target of combining this information into a single view to aid in the development of master dashboards and solving ad-hoc queries. Specific initiatives include, but are not limited to, the gathering, compiling, synthesizing and reporting of drug utilization and reimbursement information from Omnicare’s pharmacy operating systems, dispensed drug data warehouse and other proprietary and publically available drug use data sources. It is required that you have a good working knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medical jargon as you will be working closely with our clinical leadership.

This position is strongly preferred to work from our offices in either Lincoln, Rhode Island or Cincinnati, Ohio.

Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of data analysis and modeling experience
- Hands-on experience/expertise in data management tools, including SAS, SQL and BI tools such as Tableau and Microstrategy
- Experience writing queries utilizing SQL to generate the output and address special requests in databases such as Teradata, MariaDB, Oracle and/or big data platforms
- Experience crafting interactive visual interfaces and dashboards (Tableau, Qlikview, Microsoft Power BI)
- 1-2+ years at a top management consulting firm or in leadership roles in the LTC, retail or healthcare industries
- 1-2+ years of project management with problem solving skills and experience working on large-scale, inter-department projects

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Alteryx, Power Query and other agile technologies
- Knowledge of healthcare order and distribution systems and/or healthcare finance systems.
- Proven knowledge of advanced analytics and statistics
- Python, SAS, R and advanced Excel experience
- Ability to work independently and research solutions to technical issues
- Experience with pharmaceutical terminology, such as NDC codes, and other clinical terminology relevant for drug and disease state analysis
- Experience linking disparate databases to build a single view/data environment for both ad-hoc requests and master dashboards that are used for live decision-making
-- Must be results-oriented, and able to influence others to meet goals in positive manner
- Possesses the ability to break down complex problems into discrete questions and then guide cross-functional partners to develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to drive design choices

- Bachelor’s Degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems or other quantitative disciplines, or clinical pharmacist background
- Advanced degree preferred
